Cryptic I Can Handle, But This?

So we ate dinner out. And then these came, with the bill. Little, wafer-thin barbs--the proverbial pill wrapped in sugar--made by someone who must have read Tolstoy:



Here is mine. I enjoyed the dinner. It was a nice respite from the "domestic attentions" of which you speak. Thanks for that.

  1. My favorite is "Don't Panic," which, to me, is a reference to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. But then, your husband's has a grammar error that I find amusing, too. Damn. Now I want Chinese food.

  2. Fie: I know. The grammar error was another thing drawing my attention to "domestic matters": my job!

    I found the whole cookie experience surreal. But the food was good!
