Daughter, after birthday: You know, they say the best gift is sharing.
Me: Yep. They do.
Daughter: I hate that gift.

    GEW: thanks for the comment. My immediate family is fine, and I only know of one friend so far who has possibly lost her house. But it's been shocking, and I worry that for everyone in the country it will be a huge impact. *Everyone* knows someone in Christchurch! Thanks again.
